From May 10 to 13, 2024, Associate Professor Dr. Ly Tuan Truong, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Furniture Association, participated in the Asia 2024 Design Cooperation Summit Forum. The forum aimed to promote exchanges within the Asian design industry, enhance collaboration in interior design, and contribute to the overall development of the region.
As part of the program, the Vice Chairman attended the opening ceremony of the 14th International Exhibition of Architectural Materials and Interior Decoration in Yunnan in 2024. Additionally, he participated in the Council of Directors meeting of the Asia-Pacific Space Designers Association (APSDA) and attended the Interior Design Awards ceremony in Yunnan in 2024.
Furthermore, the leadership of the Vietnam Furniture Association delivered a speech during the Asia 2024 Design Cooperation Summit Forum, alongside representatives from ten design associations from various countries:

- Malaysian Institute of Interior Design (MIID)
- Thai Interior Design Association (TIDA)
- Philippine Institute of Interior Design (PIID)
- Indian Institute of Interior Design (IIID)
- Nepal Interior Design Association (IDEA Nepal)
- Hong Kong Interior Design Association (HKIDA)
- International Urban Interior Design Association (UIDM) from Macao
- Taiwan Interior Design Association (CSID)
- Yunnan Industrial Interior Design Association (YNID)
Notably, during this forum, the Asia-Pacific Space Designers Association (APSDA) officially awarded membership certification to the Vietnam Furniture Association. The Chairman of APSDA highly praised the participation and contributions of the Vietnam Furniture Association, emphasizing the importance of cooperation, exchange, shared learning experiences among associations and countries. APSDA also expressed a desire for deeper connections and collaboration with Vietnamese partners to enhance mutual learning, experience sharing, and support for interior design professionals.
Becoming an official member of the Asia-Pacific Space Designers Association represents a significant milestone, opening up new opportunities for the Vietnam Furniture Association to elevate its influence and position both regionally and internationally.
